Investment trends in Cape Town

Released this morning in Cape Town on investments in 2004: Foreign Direct Investment in 2004 has increased to 1,536 Billion Rand, largely exceeding their targets, set for Ismail Dockrat, CEO of Wesgro.

Main investment growth sectors in Cape Town: manufacturing, resource based industries, services, expansion, facilitation and residential property investments. Target for Wesgro, the investerings promotion agency in Cape Town, for 2007: an impressive 5 Billion Rand.

It has been good to see the dynamics of development over the last five years in Cape Town, and it has been a pleasure to see that many of the anticipated developments in Cape Town and growth sectors have grown even faster than anticipated by me, who has been labelled 'optimistic' in the last years by some holiday residents. Let's say it has its advantages to have an interest in so many different industries, areas and social developments in Cape Town. It gives a little edge ;-)
