game and game reserves cape town

South Africa wild life five years ago I thought: if Cape Town would have a game reserve, it is the absolute perfect destination in the world. Game reserves are within 90 minutes drive from Cape Town now. Still, there has always been plenty of different places to see south african wild life in the cape.

a large majority (/locals inc.) have no notion of nearby crocodiles, lion's, wildebees, ostriches that can be found in the nearbywinelands bonheur crocodile farm, the different ostrich farms around Cape Townlion's park near paarl and thecheetah outreach project of Spier are some of the examples within 35minutes from Strand street in Cape Town's Central Business District. Lunch?

leopard cubshave been spotted in the Cedarberg last week by planted infrared camera's by the way. They -fortunately- evaded me taking a shower outside deep in the Cedarberg when I was there for new year though.
